This very much sought after 1981 Honda Z50J Chrome Monkey has recently been imported from Japan where it has spent all its life.

This and the fact it's only showing 902 km (600 miles) and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

While it looks entirely plausible, we have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is virtually complete missing just the l/h side panel badge.

The wheels look straight with clean rims, good hubs & brake plates.

Forks & yokes look straight.

Mudguards are both solid with minor pitting.

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.

Instruments & switches look good.

Carburettor is free sliding off the twist grip.

Fuel tank is squeaky-clean inside and has just pitting in the chrome.

Exhaust is original & solid.

Seat is in good condition throughout.

Indicators are tidy.

The engine is cosmetically very clean,

It turns over nicely off the kick starter,

BUT BEST OF ALL

When we gave it a few prods it fires, starts, runs & revs.
